Lenten Parish Programs

03-04-2022Weekly Flocknote MessageFr. James Aboyi, VC

All Stations of the Cross this year will be held outdoors every Friday at 6:00pm in the St. John Bosco Courtyard. Different ministries will lead each week. Please invite your family and friends to come and join us. Tonight the Knights of Columbus will be leading and will provide a small meal of soup and salad afterwards.

Fr. Manasseh will be holding a weekly program called, “Back to Basics During Lent.” We will be utilizing the DVD series, Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained. There are five sessions in total which begin on Thu, Mar 10 at 6:30pm in Annex 1. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity for spiritual growth and nourishment. Please contact Amy at afletcher@stbenedict.org to RSVP.

CDA Update

During the week, I received an update for our parish participation in the Charity and Development Appeal (CDA). I was delighted to see that 89 families have already participated in the CDA from our parish community, with a total pledge of $31,445. This represents 37% of our total goal of $85,000. I thank those who have already participated. I encourage those who have not participated yet to consider sending their pledge or payment this week. The CDA envelopes are available at the parish office and during weekend Masses in MPR. Please give us a call in the parish office (480.961.1610) if you have any questions or if you need help setting up your Text-to-Give or Online payment.

Construction Update from the Building Committee

We received the 2nd city submittal plans and they have been sent out for final bid to the impacted subs. The contractor anticipates to provide the final bid week of Mar 21. However, the salvage permit was already pulled and completed on-site. Grading & Drainage will likely start prior to receiving the building permit.
