Stations of the Cross

03-11-2022Weekly Flocknote MessageFr. James Aboyi, VC

A quick reminder to come and join us for our Stations of the Cross at 6pm today and every Friday through Lent. All Stations of the Cross this year will be held outdoors in the St. John Bosco Courtyard. Different ministries will lead each week. The Women Spirituality Ministry will lead the Stations today. They will also serve soup right after the Stations around 6:30pm. Please invite your family and friends to come and join us.

CDA Update

During the week, I received an update for our parish participation in the Charity and Development Appeal (CDA). I was delighted to see that 94 families have already participated in the CDA from our parish community, with a total pledge of $32,546. This represents 38% of our total goal of $85,000. I thank those who have already participated. I encourage those who have not participated yet to consider sending their pledge or payment this week. The CDA envelopes are available at the parish office and during weekend Masses in the MPR. Please give us a call in the parish office (480.961.1610) if you have any questions or if you need help setting up your Text-to-Give or Online payment.

Construction Update from the Building Committee

I am so glad to inform you that we have received and signed the construction contract this week. The Grading and Demolition (G&D) permits are available.. They can get started on G&D before the remaining permits, but to reduce costs the contractor will avoid additional mobilizations (i.e. finishing the G&D before the rest is permitted). The contractor is waiting to pull the G&D permits until the work is within 2 weeks of the full building permits for construction purposes.
