Congratulations!

11-15-2021Weekly Flocknote MessageFr. James Aboyi, V.C.

Congratulations on our groundbreaking event last weekend. What a historic day for our parish community. I thank everyone for your prayers and support that made it possible for us to reach this great milestone. My special thanks to Bob Prezkop and Deacon Ed for their great leadership of the Building Committee and the transition process. Thanks also to Lani Gore and members of the Events Ministry for coordinating the reception. My special thanks to our parish staff for working so hard behind the scenes to ensure that every detail was taken care of; to Eamonn and Karen and members of the Building Fund Committee; to our SJB school community, the Finance Council, Parish Council, and everyone who helped with planning the event.

I am glad to inform you that during the week, we received the approval letter from our Bishop, Thomas Olmsted, and the Board of Directors giving us a go ahead with the loan process and to sign contracts with our contractors. We look forward to the permission from the City of Phoenix to allow us to move ahead with the construction. Again, I thank you for your prayers and support and especially for your sacrificial financial support to the building project. Relying on God and on your continuous prayers and support, I look forward to seeing our dreams come true soon.

We have a limited number of bottled soil from the groundbreaking available in our parish office for those who did not take one home for their family during the event. Here is the video recording of the event: https://youtu.be/HgQVjAFuINU . Please visit our parish Facebook for more photos of the event.
